EDUCATION AND TRAINING- LEVELS 3, 4 & 5

This qualification is ideal for those looking to become qualified teacher in the College or vocational setting. The entry point is the Level 3 Award in Education and Training (formerly known as PTLLS). You can move from this qualification to take the level 4 Certificate in Education and Training or the Diploma at Level 5 (formerly known as DTLLS). The course covers the role of the teacher in facilitating learning and their legal responsibilities within a classroom setting. You will learn how to plan effective learning activities taking into consideration different learning styles, methods of delivery and assessment. The course teaches lesson planning, communication within the classroom and techniques to motivate students.

LEVEL 3 CERTIFICATES IN ASSESSING VOCATIONAL ACHIEVEMENT-TAQA SUITE (FORMERLY A1 ASSESSOR AWARD)
This is the full assessor award comprising 15 credits. You will need this course to be a fully qualified assessor. We offer the new assessor award through flexible, affordable and impactful course delivery methodology. The course gives you the skills you need to train your workforce or other students, assess the vocational competency of your staff. The Level 3 Assessing the Quality of Assessment TAQA course will enable you to assess the occupational competency of staff in the workplace. This qualification will enable you to assess students’ performance in vocational qualifications in your area of competency. You will be asked to complete a set of knowledge questions in a workbook as well as practical assessment and work product.

LEVEL 4 ASSURING THE QUALITY OF ASSESSMENT PRACTICES (IQA COURSE)
The new internal verifier award gives you the skills you need to internally moderate the performance of teaching assessors and makes you a qualified Internal Quality Assurance Officer (IQA).This is TAQA suite of quality assurance qualification. The QCF (Qualification and Credit Framework) Level 4 Assuring the Quality of Assessment practices course will make you a qualified internal quality assurance officer (IQA) formerly called internal verifier (IV).
The Level 4 Award (previously V1 award) in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (IQA) is a 12 credit and 90 guided learning hour qualification consisting of 2 mandatory units. This qualification replaces the V1 and V2 qualifications. It is part of the new suite of qualifications for assessors, internal quality assurers (IQA) and external quality assurers (EQA).
